NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., June 24, 2019 – AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach earned the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Center of Excellence award from Healogics, Inc., the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services.
The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine team at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach received this award, as well as the Center of Distinction award, because it achieved patient satisfaction rates higher than 92% and a healing rate of at least 91% in less than 30 median days to heal, for a minimum of two consecutive years.
“We’ve actually earned this award every year since 2013 and we’re really proud of this high level of consistency,” said Catherine Lunde, director of Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach. “Only 342 facilities earned the award this year and we are thrilled to again be recognized for our excellent wound care services.”
AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach’s Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine department offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
