DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., May 14, 2019 – The Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at AdventHealth Daytona Beach received the 2018 Center of Distinction award from Healogics, Inc., one of the nation’s leading wound care management companies.
This award recognizes AdventHealth Daytona Beach’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for the past 12 months.
“It is a very prestigious award and our team is very excited to be recognized as a Center of Distinction,” said Valerie Kervin, AdventHealth Daytona Beach program director for the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. “It means we are one of the top wound care centers in the nation and have been identified as experts in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. It validates the quality of care and the dedication that we provide our patients.”
To be considered for the Center of Distinction award, AdventHealth Daytona Beach’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center had to earn patient satisfaction rates higher than 92% and a healing rate of at least 91% in less than 30 median days to heal.
The Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at AdventHealth Daytona Beach offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
