The Baby Place at AdventHealth Waterman, formerly Florida Hospital Waterman, is honored to provide mom-centered amenities to help ease your body, mind and spirit during what are likely to be some of the most challenging — and rewarding — days of your life.

Pre-Register for Delivery Day
Get a jump start on your delivery and pre-register for your stay. Pre-registering will make your hospital labor and delivery go smoother, and you'll be escorted immediately to your birthing room where you can complete the registration process. To pre-register, visit AdventHealth Waterman and follow the signs to registration. Please make sure you have your ID and insurance card with you to complete the process.

Your baby’s big day is also your big day. Our brand-new Center for Women and Children is designed with you and your family in mind, offering a full range of comforting amenities that include:

- Private, spacious rooms
- Pull-out sofa beds for partners

Scheduling your tour and planning for your delivery day has never been easier. Our Birth Experience Team acts as your personal guide to give you the confidence and knowledge to embark on this new phase of life. The Birth Experience Coordinators are registered nurses and certified parent educators at each of our Baby Place locations that can answer any labor and delivery or parent education questions to help put new parents at ease. The journey to successful latching and feeding is different for each new mom. Know that many women experience ups and downs when it comes to breastfeeding. If you’re struggling, you’re not alone — but we can help. To find support, call Call407-303-7650.

Enroll in one of our many classes to help you get familiar with new parenting skills. You can attend workshops on everything from baby care and breastfeeding to infant CPR. Led by registered nurses and certified childbirth educators, our courses will provide you with the essentials for your new addition.

- Milk Depot

About the Milk Depot
We have partnered with Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida to become the first North Lake County Milk Depot location. The Milk Depot serves as a safe, controlled collection point where women can donate their breast milk for premature and at-risk infants in need. We make it easy for moms to help other moms provide vitally important nutrients to their babies who are struggling to survive.
How It Works
1) Call 407-248-5050 for a short interview with the Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida.
2) Complete a secure online health questionnaire.
3) Complete a free blood test.
4) Bring your frozen donor milk to the Milk Depot at AdventHealth Waterman for shipment to the Mothers’ Milk Bank of Florida. Call 352-253-3054 and Center for Women and Children employee will meet you downstairs in front of the Emergency Department entrance to pick up your donor milk. The Milk Depot is open 24/7.

Once your baby’s here, your daily routines are about to change, but know that our care doesn’t end after you take your baby home. At every turn, our nurses and educators will be here to offer any help you need, including screening and support for postpartum depression.
The first year of motherhood can sometimes feel overwhelming. We do everything we can to help you become more confident as you embark on the journey of parenthood by offering some post-pregnancy classes and lectures, including:
Baby Bunch
A weekly gathering designed for moms of young babies, from newborn to 12 months old, with helpful discussions on feeding options, infant development; and maternal health.
Health Navigation
You're never alone on this journey through motherhood. Our Women's and Children's Health Navigation Team is here to provide support physically, emotionally and spiritual and connect you to care and education.
Above all, we want you to know you’re never alone, and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you’re not feeling quite like yourself and you’re concerned about your mental and spiritual well-being, ask for help, always.
We’ll be there to lift you up, and happily connect you with postpartum counselors and screenings. We’ll always be cheering you on and wishing the best for your growing family.

Infant Sleep Safety
Safe sleep greatly reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and other sleep accidents.
