Now Let Us Care for You
Your caring makes a world of difference. Through your strength, support, and constant attention, you serve and lift the people you care for. Your work isn’t easy — but it can also be richly rewarding.
That spirit of caring is what powers AdventHealth Waterman, formerly Florida Hospital Waterman, in Tavares, Florida. Our hospital runs on the strength and support of people like you who care so deeply about our patients. Which makes you a part of our Lake County hospital, too. When you come for a visit, you can benefit from our spirit of caring by taking advantage of our thoughtful hospital amenities, guest services, and caregiver resources. If you need something to eat, help filling a prescription, or an assist with any one of the myriad items on your "To-Do List," just ask. We’re here to serve you — and here to help you serve.

Pastoral Care and Chapel
As a faith-based hospital, we realize that in times of difficulty, a little spiritual boost can go a long way. Whatever your faith, our pastoral-care team is eager to serve you — lending a few words of spiritual comfort, providing a religious ritual, praying with or for you, or just listening to your concerns. To speak with a spiritual adviser or chaplain, reach out to our pastoral care department at 352-253-3389.
When you need a safe, tranquil oasis, come to our onsite chapel — open 24/7 to visitors of all denominations. Located in the east atrium, it’s the perfect place to pray, read, or reflect in a quiet space.
You’re also welcome to join our bi-monthly worship service, Joy in the Morning, open to all staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and volunteers. Enjoy a special program and nurturing music.
While you’re here visiting your loved one, you’ll never need to feel cut off from the rest of the world. Our free WiFi for visitors keeps you in touch at all times.
We also offer interpreter services for a number of foreign languages. To find out more, reach out to us at 877-746-4674. If you need sign-language services, call us at 352-323-0999.

- Hospital Visiting Hours
General hospital visiting hours: 24/7 (at your loved one's convenience)
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent at all times. If you have a cold or think you may be contagious, please wait until you are feeling better to plan your visit.
Because your visits mean so much to those you love, we hold open visiting hours around the clock in most areas of the hospital. To protect the well-being of our patients, we have special visiting hours in the following areas:
- Medical and Surgical Patient Care units: 8 am to 8 pm
- Women and Children Unit: 8 am to 8 pm
- Critical Care and Cardiovascular Intensive Care units: Only two visitors per patient are allowed at one time — though you may be able to make special arrangements with your loved one’s nurse for additional accommodations.
