- Yoga Therapy to Boost Brain Health - 6 Week Series

This therapeutic class is designed to train your brain to improve memory and concentration. Gentle stretching followed by strengthening, mindfulness meditation, and relaxation training are woven into these classes to reduce stress and improve brain function.

These educational movement classes will help you gain insight into your personal patterning of curvature. You will use yoga postures to reduce pain and find more symmetry in the spine. Appropriate for all ability levels.

Do you have rounded shoulders, forward and lowered head position? Do you need to lift the head to see when moving forward? This workshop aims to reduce rounded shoulders and improve head position. This class uses standing and seated movements only. Appropriate for all ability levels.

- Yoga Nidra - 4 Week Series

Achieve peace in the mind and body with this restorative yoga practice. Includes a guided meditation that will take you into a relaxed state of awareness allowing the mind to recharge. 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 4 hours of sleep. Appropriate for all ability levels.

- Yoga Therapy for Nerve Related Back Pain - 4 Week Series

Nerves are designated to move! Healthy nerves glide and slide inside surrounding tissues. Learn to mobilize the nerves without overstretching. This movement class will use both floor and chair to effectively learn nerve flossing exercises for spine and nerve health. Appropriate for all ability levels.
Precaution: Participants experiencing current nerve pain or sciatica flair are encouraged to seek medical care and wait until the flair subsides. Exercises performed in this class are preventative and may aggravate nerves if you are in an acute flair-up.

Practice yoga in a supportive environment to boost your body image with meditation, breath work and vinyasa flow. This class includes modifications for all body types. All fitness levels encouraged, especially those new to yoga.

This functional movement class is designed to achieve whole body strengthening. Work to reinforce muscle strength, and prevent injuries, around joints that are associated with chronic pain, such as knees, hips, shoulders, and low back. Appropriate for all ability levels.

Move 4 Life
Move 4 Life is a monitored fitness program for individuals who have graduated from outpatient rehab or who have a chronic health condition but may not feel comfortable exercising alone. Our qualified staff will monitor your vital signs and design a safe and effective workout plan for your condition. This socially connected environment helps to make exercise a lifestyle.
This program is available for members MWF from 8 am to 4 pm in the AdventHealth Fitness Center. A medical release is required. To sign up, please call Call913-676-8133.
