The Mosaic Company not only helps the world grow the food it needs but also is helping to meet the health care needs of Hardee County by donating $50,000 to AdventHealth Wauchula's new facility building campaign. As thanks for this significant donation, AdventHealth Wauchula's main entry foyer will be named in honor of The Mosaic Company.
We are thrilled to be a part of the community effort to make this new hospital a reality, said Heather Nedley, Mosaic Public Affairs Manager. The new facility will bring state-of-the-art, life-saving health care to our friends, neighbors and employees of Hardee County.
We appreciate Mosaic's desire to be a community partner, said Denise Grimsley, AdventHealth Wauchula's Vice President and Administrator. Thanks to Mosaic's generosity, they have given us tremendous opportunity to better serve our Hardee County residents.
AdventHealth is honored to be the recipient of this generous gift. It will help in our continued growth and will ensure our neighbors continue to receive the state-of-the-art health care they come to expect from AdventHealth without leaving Wauchula, said Christen Johnson, AdventHealth Foundation Director. The Mosaic Company's transformational gift is a testament to their loyalty, generosity, and investment towards Hardee County's future.
About the New Facility
Always focused on patient safety and comfort, AdventHealth Wauchula will continue its award-winning reputation as a Top Rural Hospital offering critical access, the first designated in the State of Florida. The ultramodern facility will open in November 2017 at its new location on State Road 17 and continue serving the same community it has for more than 20 years. The new 50,000-square foot facility will be similar in size to the current hospital with a 15-bed emergency department, 25-bed transitional care unit and extensive therapy rooms. The new hospital will feature a modern, healing environment for improved staff efficiency, more compassionate care and enhanced patient safety. Each private in-patient room will feature an ensuite bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, and personal safe. The hospital will also offer concierge services, a beauty salon and an activity room with a full kitchen, washer/dryer and large screen television for events.
