These cases will be transmitted live via satellite to the main meeting in Orlando, attended by more than 1,500 physicians the United States, Central America, Europe, and Asia. This will be the third time AdventHealth Sebring has participated as a live broadcast site for a cardiovascular meeting. In addition to the United States transmitting sites, live cases will also be performed from China, Italy, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Sweden. It is a great honor for the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center to be selected as a live case transmission site for such a prestigious and important meeting, stated Dr. Shimshak. AdventHealth Sebring is able to provide state-of-the-art care for patients with advanced heart and vascular disease every day, so we are pleased to be able to share our experience and best practices with other physicians throughout the world. Dr. Shimshak is a C3 Co-Director of the 2018 international symposium and has received their Lifetime Achievement Award. The AdventHealth Heart and Vascular Center is a regional cardiovascular center. Since its inception in 2007, the program has experienced consistent annual growth. The team of board-certified physicians provides contemporary cardiovascular care, including advanced coronary angioplasty and stenting, surgical and non-surgical treatment of peripheral vascular disease, and therapy for patients with complex rhythm disorders. Our hospital system is very proud of the hard work and diligence of the physicians and staff who make up the Heart and Vascular Center team. For more than six years, this team has produced clinical results that compare favorably with nationally recognized benchmarks, and at the same time touched the lives of thousands of people in our community. To see the Center recognized on the international stage provided by C3 is particularly satisfying, said AdventHealth Sebring CEO and President Bruce Bergherm.
