AdventHealth Partners has added on to their established multi-specialty practice in the heart of Wauchula, offering patients convenient access to a renowned team of interventional and vascular physicians, beginning February 2nd .
AdventHealth Wauchula Vascular Center is located at 524 Carlton Street, led by board-certified physicians Dr. Thomas Shimshak, and Dr. Joseph Massaro. The Vascular Center and AdventHealth Sebring Medical Center provides patients with accurate, thorough evaluations and diagnoses followed by the most advanced available education and treatments to prevent and manage vascular disease.
This includes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of peripheral arterial obstructive disease of the legs, critical limb ischemia, carotid artery disease, kidney artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and chronic venous disease. The practice provides diagnostic testing with ankle-brachial index, arterial ultrasound (duplex), CT and MR angiography, catheter-based arteriography treatments include balloon angioplasty, peripheral stents, carotid stenting, drug-coated balloon angioplasty, orbital, excisional, rotational and laser atherectomy (plaque removal), distal embolic protection, stent graft therapy for aortic aneurysms, and mechanical thrombectomy (clot removal).
