Whether this is your first birth or you're adding to a growing family, our specialized team at The Baby Place is excited to support you throughout your pregnancy.
Postpartum/Newborn Care- This class will prepare you for what to expect after delivery in the hospital and the first six weeks at home with your baby. We will discuss pain management, physical and emotional changes following childbirth, and how to care for yourself. Additionally, this course covers newborn procedures after birth, typical newborn appearance, safe sleep practices, circumcision, and more. If available, bring a baby doll or stuffed animal with you to practice swaddling and diaper changes.
The Baby Place childbirth educators and registered OB nurses lead our FREE childbirth courses offered every other month. Starting in January 2026, Postpartum/Newborn Care and Breastfeeding will be offered as two separate courses from our Childbirth Preparation Series One and Two. You can choose to attend one or several courses. Please register for each separately.
