Gordon Hospital Sends More than 700 Students Back to School in Style

On Thursday, July 28, Gordon Hospital hosted their annual Back to School Blast event for all local public, private, and homeschool students in grades Pre-K through 12 at the Sonoraville Recreation Complex.

More than 700 students who attended the event received backpacks along with other essential school supplies and health information.

Back to School Blast is always one of our biggest and best events, said Kaylee Landress, marketing communications lead for Gordon Hospital. Its one way we are able to extend our mission outside of the hospital.

Organizations who participated in the event include: 4-H of Gordon County, Amerigroup, Breathe-Free Smoking Cessation Program, Calhoun City Schools, Calhoun Elkettes, Calhoun-Gordon Council for a Literate Community, Calhoun Premium Outlets, CREATION Life at Gordon Hospital, Family Connection of Gordon County, Fellowship Health Resources, First Bank of Calhoun, Girls and Boys Club, Gordon Adult and Pediatric Medical Associates, Gordon County DFCS, Gordon County E-911, Gordon County Fire & Rescue, Gordon County Schools, Gordon EMS, Gordon Home Care, Gordon Hospital Cancer Care, Gordon Hospital Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, Gordon Hospital Internal and Family Medicine, Gordon Hospital Owasa Family Medicine, Gordon Hospital Sleep Center, Gordon Hospital Volunteer Chaplain, Gordon Urgent Care, Gordon Urology, Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership, Northwest Georgia OB/GYN, Northwest Georgia Orthopedics, Peach State Health, PT Solutions, Right from the Start Medicaid, Soni Orthodontics, and Well Care of Georgia.
