Carla Coleman was recently awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award.

This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.

Coleman, a patient access coordinator in the emergency department, was nominated by Patient Access Manager Gregg Ellis with the following words: Carla recently provided support and care for a family of a young boy who was ran over. She took the entire family to Erlanger Medical Center while the child was being life flighted after she had worked all night on third shift. Her actions exemplify our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ.
