Britton's Cancer is in Remission
No One Fights Alone

How Britton Overcame Bone Cancer

During the first football practice of his senior season, Britton experienced debilitating hip and back pain. After five different diagnoses from five different physicians, Britton saw Dr. Backus at AdventHealth for Children, who fought back tears as she diagnosed him with a rare bone cancer.

“With such bad news, sometimes you balance reality and percentage remission with faith,” said Dr. Backus, who prayed with Britton and his family after the diagnosis.

After a year-long treatment protocol, and with the endless support of his family, friends and Dr. Backus, Britton is now officially in remission.

“Don’t give up; there is an end to this. Even if you don’t see it, I promise you it’s there,” Britton says, living proof that no one fights alone, and that bone cancer can be overcome.
