Our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters in Haiti who are suffering from another major disaster from the earthquake which struck on Saturday morning, August 14. AdventHealth has been working with Haiti Adventist Hospital since the previous earthquake hit back in 2010. The hospital is located in the outskirts of the capital city of Port-au-Prince and survived this earthquake without damage. Injured people started arriving at the hospital within hours of the earthquake. Haiti Adventist Hospital has committed to provide care to all earthquake victims free of charge with their skilled team of caregivers including orthopedic and general surgeons. AdventHealth would like to support their efforts by raising money to help the hospital cover the costs of the care to these patients. AdventHealth is also committed to shipping donated medical equipment and supplies to help Haiti Adventist Hospital. Other projects directly related to disaster relief in Haiti will be added as funding permits. Please consider making a gift to support the people of Haiti. |
