Joshua Reyes has been recognized as the Volunteer of the Month for May 2023 because of his dedication to Generosity Champions, AdventHealth's Employee Giving Program. We took some time to ask Joshua a few questions about why he chooses to help out with Generosity Champions.
Why do you give to Generosity Champions?
I have donated to Generosity Champions for many years. It was a no-brainer for me to sign up a long time ago. I had never seen an organization that allowed team members to give back to their team members. I just had to be a part of it.
What made you want to become a Generosity Champions Ambassador?
It gives me a great feeling knowing that I am having an impact outside of myself. Even though I don’t always directly see it, I know that someone somewhere is benefiting from something I have assisted with.
How do you feel after giving to Generosity Champions?
I feel great. I love volunteering and giving back, not just monetarily, but with time, attending events, and having fun with everyone. Seeing smiles is the best part of it all.
How long have you been a member?
Four years now. It has been a fun and exciting journey.
