For Jackie Benton care is at the heart of the matter. A few years ago, her husband, Derryl Benton, had a life-changing medical experience and was brought to AdventHealth Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute for treatment. Derryl received exceptional care and he credits CVI physicians, Dr. Shah and Dr. Arora, along with many others for saving his life.

The couple had already been supporters of AdventHealth, but it was this life-changing experience, as well as the experiences other family members have had with CVI, that truly solidified the couple’s commitment to financially support the institute.

In appreciation of the impact that CVI’s care has had in her family, Jackie accepted the invitation to join the AdventHealth Foundation CVI Board of Directors.

When talking about her experience as a board member, Jackie said, “I am motivated because I know that our philanthropy is helping.”

Jackie is a true example of philanthropy in action. Not only does she serve as a board member, she has been an amazing ambassador for this cause by inviting others to support CVI as well. With heartfelt appreciation, we are thankful for Jackie’s service, compassion and commitment to AdventHealth.
