AdventHealth University develops highly skilled professionals who live the healing values of Christ. At AHU, students learn to care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—with unparalleled skill and uncommon compassion.
The amazing AHU alumni community—nearly 13,000 strong—along with faculty and students are celebrating the university with a campaign to help fund the education of future nurses, chaplains, and health care professionals.
Our giving day will raise funds for student scholarships at AHU. These funds will help students reach their goal to become influential professionals of uncommon compassion, succeed in careers of purpose, and equip them to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Ignite the Future and give the gift of education while illuminating the path forward for current students. Consider donating or starting your own fundraiser today.
John Itoe, inspired by the care nurses provided to his hospitalized father in Cameroon, moved to the U.S. in 2010 to pursue nursing. Despite financial and transportation challenges, he obtained his Certified Nursing Assistant license and later enrolled in AdventHealth University. With support from AdventHealth's Grace Fund, John graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2023, passed his NCLEX RN exam in 2024, and now works as a registered nurse at AdventHealth Porter. His dedication earned him the Caring in Nursing award in 2024. John's story highlights resilience and the importance of support systems.
“I knew I wanted to study pre-med at an Adventist school and when I was offered the presidential scholarship from AHU I felt that it was a sign that this is where I should be. The funds I received from the scholarship will help me in my ultimate journey of going to medical school and becoming a surgeon.”
