High-Risk Newborn Care

Our physicians provide expert care within the hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and beyond for high-risk infants who are born prematurely or with life-threatening conditions. Babies who are born prior to 37 weeks of gestation, who have a low or high birthweight, who have birth defects or suffer respiratory distress, infections, seizures, low blood sugar or other serious problems receive round-the-clock monitoring and care by a multidisciplinary medical team that includes neonatologists along with specialists in respiratory therapy, nutrition, lactation and more. Our team can also connect parents of high-risk newborns with information and resources through AdventHealth and community services. Our patients and their families benefit from the state-of-the-art NICU facilities of AdventHealth that boast the most advanced diagnostic imaging and treatment capabilities available anywhere.
