Vinny Tapia- Heart Attack Survivor
Vinny was in the process of training for his first appearance on the television show "American Ninja Warrior” when he suffered from a heart attack. The show features hundreds of competitors who attempt to complete strenuous obstacle courses of increasing difficulty. Thanks to the care he received at AdventHealth, he was able to get back to training and made it to the show. Today he feels better than ever and shows us that with determination you can conquer anything.

Artist JEFRË launched his public art career after suffering a heart attack in 2008 and having triple bypass surgery at AdventHealth. Showcasing his life journey through his work, JEFRE explores the details from his identity to his struggle with heart disease. JEFRË’s first solo museum exhibition featured tributes to AdventHealth and the medical technology used in his recovery.
