AdventHealth’s Level 4 Epilepsy Center employs the most advanced technologies available to evaluate, diagnose and treat both pediatric and adult patients who suffer from epilepsy and seizures. 24-hour monitoring allows for a team of specially trained nurses, EEG technicians and epilepsy doctors to get a thorough picture of your or your child’s condition so that they can proceed with the correct treatment – all while providing round-the-clock care. Such monitoring may including the use of all-digital video EEG equipment, 3T intra-op MRI, ictal SPECT, FDG-PET and other such cutting-edge diagnostic and testing tools. While patients of all ages may receive 24-hour monitoring at AdventHealth’s state-of-the-art epilepsy unit, children may receive additional support services through AdventHealth for Children to help them prepare for their stay and be as comfortable as possible while receiving treatment.
