When Dr. Alan Wladis was asked why he stepped up to champion a new AdventHealth Vascular Center for Excellence at the 39th Annual AdventHealth Golden Gala, he stated, “What started me down this vascular program is that everybody has a responsibility to be productive to society. What do I mean? We all should try and touch people positively. We should all leave the world a little bit better than when we got here.”
Dr. Alan Wladis is a board-certified vascular surgeon and registered vascular technologist with the Vascular Institute of Florida, with offices next to AdventHealth Orlando. He has years of experience providing the most advanced treatments for arterial and venous disorders via minimally invasive and nonsurgical methods.

AdventHealth is honored to spotlight Dr. Wladis for his incredible leadership and partnership with AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida to raise community awareness and funds for the Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Wladis spoke to well over two thousand people at the 2019 Golden Gala about one of the most devastating and costliest health issues in America - vascular disease.
Dr. Wladis talked about those at risk for vascular disease and passionately shared how procedures such as stroke care, amputation and aortic aneurysm repair lead to exorbitant health care expenses for our country.
His keynote message raised over $915K for the Vascular Center of Excellence to save limbs and saves lives. These proceeds will help create a limb care program, build a new vascular hybrid OR to perform emergency surgeries, and establish a comprehensive screening program to identify and prevent this life-threatening disease for patients at high risk.
“I thought it was a wonderful night. It gave our vascular team a great opportunity to show the breadth of what we do. I was overwhelmed by how generous everybody was for our patients. I never in my wildest mind thought we could raise money like that. Just incredible. The Foundation set me up to succeed.”
AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida is forever grateful to Dr. Alan Wladis for his devoted time and effort. We truly count physician leaders such as Dr. Wladis as a blessing!
