Urologist Dr. Ali Tourchi has joined AdventHealth Medical Group and will perform procedures at AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway.
As an AdventHealth Medical Group team member, Tourchi joins more than 400 health care providers, including 250 primary care physicians and specialists in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
Tourchi specializes in performing minimally invasive surgery and treating kidney stones, enlarged prostates, sexual and erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, male infertility and vasectomies, and cancer of the kidney, ureter, bladder and prostate.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Tourchi,” said Ilene Gilbert-Droge, CEO of AdventHealth Medical Group operations in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties. “He is our first employed urologist in Flagler County and will help fill the gap for a specialty in great need in Palm Coast.”
Tourchi received a Doctor of Medicine from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and completed a pediatric urology postgraduate research fellowship at the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He also completed a urology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Tourchi has published over 50 papers and has been cited over 500 times in scholarly works. He also serves on the editorial board of several medical journals and regularly peer-reviews articles for five journals.
