AdventHealth has named Tim Clark president and CEO for AdventHealth Heart of Florida located in Davenport, Florida. Additionally, Clark will serve as president/CEO for AdventHealth’s East Polk market in the organization’s West Florida Division. Clark will step into this role on June 5.
“Tim is a mission-driven leader with a rich background in health care administration and a distinct ability to rally a team around a common goal,” said Terry Shaw, AdventHealth President/CEO. “I’m confident Tim will continue to advance our mission as we seek to deliver faith-based, whole-person care to more people in the East Polk market.”
In his new role, Clark will report to Jennifer Wandersleben, president/CEO for the Heartland Region. He will provide oversight for AdventHealth Heart of Florida and AdventHealth Lake Wales and will develop and execute strategies that support the total network of care in the East Polk market.
Royce Brown will continue to serve as president/CEO for AdventHealth Lake Wales, reporting to Clark.
“I’ve been blessed to watch Tim grow his career at AdventHealth,” said Wandersleben. “Tim has played key roles in leading large-scale projects, one of those being bringing our legacy facility in Apopka into what we know today as AdventHealth Apopka. His passion for a thriving workplace culture, breadth of knowledge in hospital operations and expertise in process improvement are skills I know will serve him well as he leads the East Polk market forward.”
Clark has served in health care for 19 years, all of which have been at AdventHealth in a variety of roles. Currently, he serves as president/CEO for AdventHealth Apopka where he’s overseen the growth and expansion of existing and new services, including building a robust surgical services program, enhancing the cardiac program with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) and STEMI (ST-elevated myocardial infarction) services, as well as leading the initial development of a cancer program. Prior to this role, Clark served as vice president of operations for AdventHealth Apopka and AdventHealth Winter Garden.
“It has been an honor to serve the Apopka community over the last five years and I will miss all the wonderful people I’ve been able to build relationships with,” said Clark. “As I look ahead, I’m excited to start my journey at AdventHealth Heart of Florida and to continue my service to the broader community of East Polk County.”
Clark earned a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Adventist University. He is also a graduate of the first cohort of AdventHealth’s Executive Leadership Program, which he completed in 2019.
Clark and his wife of 19 years, Sheena, are parents to Ethan (13). Together, they love to travel and explore the world and have recently enjoyed learning how to snow ski.
