Gordon Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, is pleased to announce that current employee Debbie Smith has been promoted to administrative director of operations over Gordon Physicians Group practices.
In this role, she will have oversight of the operations of all the Gordon Physician Group clinics. Debbie has over 25 years of experience in medical group management, process improvement, creating strong patient experience, and building strong teams.
We are excited for Debbie to lead in this capacity, said Brendan Nieto, associate vice president of physician services at Gordon Hospital. She has a great track record of positive leadership and employee engagement."
Prior to joining Gordon Hospital, Smith served as chief operations officer (COO) for Harbin Clinic in Rome and Tanner Medical Group in Carrollton, Georgia.
"It is an exciting time to be a part of Gordon Hospital, said Smith, as we continue to grow and bring new services to the people of Northwest Georgia. Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ to all we serve. I am blessed to serve alongside a caring, compassionate team of professionals who are dedicated to serving our communities with excellence."
Smith holds a Master of Business Administration from Shorter College. She is also a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
Smith grew up in Rome and currently resides in Rockmart. She enjoys hiking, rafting, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
