The Dark Side turned a bit brighter for a special occasion at AdventHealth for Women, as Darth Vader and some dedicated Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion greeted newborn babies and families in celebration of May 4 – “Star Wars Day.”
Members of the 501st Legion, an international fan-based organization, and Star Wars fans worldwide claim this calendar date each year to extend “May the Force (“Fourth”) be with you” messages to all. The families of newborn babies at AdventHealth for Women, also fans of the Star Wars franchise, happily received the intergalactic greeting.
“The Stormtroopers came and played with him a little bit,” said Leonardo Da Silva, new father to Nicolas Penagos Da Silva. “It was super nice. It was a great time.”
“I’m a pretty huge fan of Star Wars, so having this today is pretty exciting,” said Augustas Kavaliauskas, father of Emanuela Kavaliauskas. “The baby, I don’t know if she is happy, but I’m happy.”
