Preventive care is one of the best ways to combat cancer, and at AdventHealth Central Texas, we believe it should be accessible to all. That’s why we have launched our GI Open Access Service, which allows patients to schedule colon cancer screenings directly with us — no referral needed. Whether you’re a first-time patient or have had screenings in the past, we’re here to make the process comfortable and simple. We work with both insured and uninsured patients to quickly connect you with skilled practitioners for colonoscopies and endoscopies. “Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, and the sooner we can get patients seen, the quicker we can determine risk,” says Louis Doubleday, MSN, RN, PGCHA, a nurse manager at AdventHealth Central Texas. “97% of patients who call are seen by a practitioner within 1 to 2 weeks.”
If you are 45 years old or older, don’t wait. Call our Open Access line at Call254-519-8811 to schedule an appointment. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. You can also leave a message, and a team member will get back to you as soon as possible.
