DELAND, Fla., April 13, 2016 The second annual Out of the Box Fashion Show on April 2 at the Chisholm Community Center in DeLand featured designers from North and Central Florida and raised $500 to support cancer care at Florida Hospital DeLand.
The fashion show was sponsored by Cameron Enterprises, LLC; Deliverance Outreach Ministries; Mitzi's First Impression Hair Salon; and Kimeca's Design Element. The first letter of each organization composes the women's empowerment team called CDMK which focuses on self-esteem, self-worth and self-commitment and provides women opportunities to enhance their lives.
With these funds, well be able to help local cancer patients in need and provide funding for equipment and other capital needs, said Maureen McLain Mercho, Florida Hospital DeLand Foundation executive director. We are truly grateful for this generous donation from the ladies of CDMK who work to strengthen women within our community.
