Adventist Health System has named Jason Dunkel to the position of president/CEO for Florida Hospital North Pinellas. Dunkel will assume leadership responsibilities for the 168-bed hospital immediately, and report to Bruce Bergherm, senior executive officer of acute care services for Adventist Health System's West Florida Division.
'Jason is a leader with a proven track record of fostering growth and operational success. His contributions and leadership have helped elevate Florida Hospital North Pinellas and advance our mission in the community, and I am confident that the hospital will prosper under his guidance,' said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for Adventist Health System.

He also provided leadership and oversight of Florida Hospital North Pinellas' expansion into Palm Harbor, Florida, with the construction and opening of a 24-bed freestanding emergency room.
Prior to joining Florida Hospital North Pinellas, he served in various health care operations and strategic development roles at Adventist Health System hospitals, including director of business development at Littleton Adventist Hospital, and executive director of business development and marketing at Jellico Community Hospital.
'I am honored and blessed to have the opportunity to lead Florida Hospital North Pinellas,' said Dunkel. 'We have so many amazing caregivers and team members at our hospital, and I look forward to collaborating with them and our community to deliver the best whole-person care possible to those we serve.'

He and his wife, Katelyn, have been married for 12 years and have four daughters, Sophia (10), Arabella (7), Katherine (6) and Alaithea (1). In his free time, he enjoys sports and singing.
