Donations from Annual Gala attendees help to support growing needs of north Lake County
TAVARES, Fla. (February 26, 2016) The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundations 7th Annual Celebration of Life Gala sold more than 217 tickets raising a total of $95,000 to be used for the expansion of Emergency Services at Florida Hospital Waterman. The evening included dining, silent auction, entertainment by Violectric and a special giveaway drawing for a YETI Roadie.
Florida Hospital Waterman treats more than 63,000 patients in the Emergency Department each year, and this number continues to grow as our community continues to develop, says Anita Young, Vice President, Chief Development Officer, Florida Hospital Waterman. Through the philanthropic support of our community, we will soon be able to make needed changes to the Emergency Department such as enhancements to provide additional privacy, implementation of innovation and continuing to fulfill our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation provides funding for programs and services at Florida Hospital Waterman including the open heart program, the Community Primary Care Clinic, mission trips, and cancer care services.
Next years, 8th Annual Celebration of Life Gala will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at the Westin in Lake Mary. Call Call352-253-3270 or visit FHWatermanDonate.org for more information.
