NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., August 2, 2016 Florida Hospital New Smyrna recently participated in Chisholm Elementary Schools annual career fair.
During the event, Florida Hospital New Smyrna lab director Scott Ratchford spoke to the fourth and fifth grade students about various career opportunities in healthcare's laboratory field.
It was fun working with the students educating them about what a lab does, Ratchford said. They were truly interested in learning and asked lots of great questions.
This event helps contribute to our students educational development and personal growth, said Marla DeLoach Griffin, Chisholm Elementary School counselor. Their horizons have been broadened and their knowledge expanded to include new and interesting career opportunities.
