VOLUSIA and FLAGLER COUNTIES, Fla., March 30, 2016 Adventist Health System, which includes five Florida Hospitals within Volusia and Flagler counties, was recognized in Beckers Healthcare's 2016 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare list. The list of organizations features both U.S. health care provider organizations, as well as other types of health care specific companies.
To be recognized once again as a great place to work in health care is an honor, said Rob Fulbright, CEO of the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which encompasses the five Florida Hospitals within Volusia and Flagler counties. Our employees' commitment to extending the healing ministry of Christ can be seen not only in their interactions with patients, but also in the supportive work environment they create each day.
The organizations included in this years list were chosen based on recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees.
In honoring Adventist Health System, Beckers Hospital Review noted that employee benefits vary from campus to campus, but system-wide benefits include a tuition reimbursement program, company-paid flu shots and cafes with healthy menu options.
