PALM COAST, Fla., March 17, 2016 On March 15, Florida Hospital Flagler hosted a breakfast event for Flagler County's Young Professional Group.
Florida Hospital Flagler chief operating officer JoAnne King and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center senior vice president and chief operating officer Darlinda Copeland spoke to the 30 attendees about topics related to leadership and growth in a professional setting.
King encouraged the young professionals to be flexible when situations don't go as planned and for career growth, to continually challenge yourself.
"Try new things and don't be afraid to do something you've never done before" King said. "Remember that no job is too small and you should challenge yourself to push past your own limitations."
Copeland shared a similar sentiment, adding that every problem or challenge is a new opportunity and that a positive attitude is of utmost importance.
"The right people to add to your team are those with positive attitudes. Get to know your team and learn what motivates them, she said.
Copeland also emphasized that one should never stop learning.
"Always be learning, she said. Read books, attend seminars, and share information with your colleagues so you can work together and continually grow and learn from each other."
With a mission to grow, develop and promote economic opportunity for young professionals and entrepreneurs in Flagler County, the Young Professionals Group of Flagler County became part of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce in 2012. The goal of group is to connect, empower and engage young professionals in Flagler County.
