PALM COAST, Fla., April 20, 2016 Florida Hospital Flagler has selected Evelin Lopez to serve as the food and nutrition manager.
In this role, Lopez is responsible for ensuring that patients receive their prescribed therapeutic diets and managing the cafe menu and catering events, all in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Lopez has 16 years of experience and most recently served as the director of food and nutrition at Effingham Health System in Springfield, Ga. Within her career, she has been a culinary arts teacher and owned a restaurant. She also served as a chair member for six years on the Diversity Council Member for Morrison Healthcare, a food and nutrition services company.
A Palm Coast resident, Lopez holds a degree in culinary arts, additionally, she has earned certification in Emergency Management from FEMA.
