ORANGE CITY, Fla., July 14, 2017 On July 11, more than 450 community members joined Florida Hospital Fish Memorial for a free Summer Beach Bash event to celebrate the grand opening of the Florida Hospital Centra Care urgent care facility.
During the event, guests cooled off from the summer heat on an inflatable tropical water slide and snow cones. There were also mechanical shark rides, face painting and a stilt walker to help celebrate the opening of the new 5,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 1360 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, directly adjacent to the I-4 overpass into Deltona.
In addition, Florida Hospital Centra Care hosted a free CPR and water-safety instruction session to help families learn how to help protect little ones this summer.
Florida Hospital Centra Care is the areas only hospital-affiliated urgent care provider with both adult and pediatric-trained physicians available for families seven days a week.
Florida Hospital Centra Cares are designed to offer easy access, extended hours, and great quality care close to home, Rob Deininger, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial CEO, said during the event. As you know, our hospital is also on Saxon Boulevard, just down the street, about five minutes from here. We are thrilled to have Florida Hospital Centra Care as our neighbor, and couldn't be more excited to bring them to the West Volusia community.
Florida Hospital Centra Care is all about convenience and providing excellent care while working with the community, Dr. Scott Brady, Florida Hospital Centra Care president and senior medical director, said during the celebration. We treat infants to adults for non-life threatening illness and injury. As well as provide pre-employment physicals, drug tests, and treatment for workman's comp injuries.
Officially open to patients on July 5, this facility is the 36th Florida Hospital Centra Care in Florida and the second in western Volusia County. In November 2016, a Florida Hospital Centra Care opened in DeLand.
Florida Hospital Centra Care offers on-site labs, and other immediate healthcare services such as X-rays, EKG, stitches, physicals, blood pressure testing, immunizations, and more.
Because time is valuable, Florida Hospital Centra Care offers an online reservations system, to schedule to see a doctor when its convenient. Knowing that injuries and illnesses can happen at the most unexpected moments, walk-ins are always welcome.
Employers and employees can also take advantage of the wide variety of occupational medicine offered by Florida Hospital Centra Care, which includes pre-employment and workers compensations services, such as work injuries, employee physicals, and drug and alcohol testing for public and private employers of all sizes.
