VOLUSIA AND FLAGLER COUNTIES, Fla., November 14, 2016 The Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, which composes the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, has selected Trish Celano to serve as chief clinical officer and senior vice president, effective Nov. 27.
This is a new position for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region. In this role, Celano will lead clinical efforts and provide executive oversight for the chief nursing officers and chief medical officers at the Florida Hospital facilities in Volusia and Flagler counties.
I am eager to see Trish step into this role and bring her passion and energy as a leader to our organization, leveraging her deep clinical expertise, said Rob Fulbright, chief executive officer for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region.
Celano has nearly 20 years of experience and began her career at Florida Hospital as a nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) and as a flight nurse. She has served in various leadership roles, and in 2007, was named the first chief nursing officer at Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando.
For the past five years, she has served as chief nursing officer for Florida Hospital Orlando, leading significant clinical and operational improvements.
Celano lives in Lake Mary with her husband of 27 years, John, and their two sons. She earned a bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Delaware and a masters degree in nursing from the University of Central Florida.

A member of AdventHealth, Florida Hospitals mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ. Encompassing six Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, the Florida Hospital East Florida Region is the largest hospital system in the area, with 907 beds and more than 6,000 employees. The Florida Hospital East Florida Region includes Florida Hospital DeLand in DeLand, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, and Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach. In April 2016, the sixth facility was added to the Florida Hospital East Florida Region family: Florida Hospital New Smyrna (formerly Bert Fish Medical Center) in New Smyrna Beach.
