Florida Hospital DeLand Names Chief Nursing Officer

DELAND, Fla., December 16, 2016 Florida Hospital DeLand has named Craig Lindsey to serve as vice president of patient care/chief nursing officer (CNO), effective January 1. In this new role, Lindsey will be responsible for the organization and administration of nursing care at Florida Hospital DeLand.

Craig is truly an inspirational leader and I'm delighted to have him join our team, said Lorenzo Brown, Florida Hospital DeLand CEO. He is a strong advocate for our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ and will be a tremendous asset to our team, hospital and community.

Lindsey has more than 20 years of experience and most recently served as vice president of clinical services and CNO of Adventist Health Systems Park Ridge Health in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Here he oversaw all inpatient, ambulatory, and clinic-based nursing care for the 103-bed acute care hospital, six associated outpatient clinics, and 35 physician offices.

While in North Carolina, he also taught courses in nursing informatics and healthcare policy and politics at Western Carolina University School of Nursing for two years.

Lindsey is a registered nurse and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University. He also earned dual degrees, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration, from Pfeiffer University.
