Courage Comes in All Sizes
This year, as AdventHealth celebrates a rich 50-year legacy as a unified health system with a mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ, it is worth noting that legacy can be measured in myriad ways.
There’s the multimillion-dollar gift that erects sky-high towers. A clinical innovation that saves thousands of lives. A passionate and caring nurse leader who knits together a team of deeply committed caregivers. And then there’s the pint-sized patient who finds the courage to face his fears and in so doing inspires others to live to fight another day.
Spotlighted in the video above is the story of Jax Warren and how he served as the inspiration for a partnership between AdventHealth Hendersonville in North Carolina and a community engagement ministry to help other children face their fears in the hospital.
