ORLANDO, Fla. — AdventHealth has named Aimee Keller-Pickford as chief executive officer of AdventHealth Winter Garden and Sheila Rankin as chief executive officer of AdventHealth Winter Park. As Florida continues to lead the nation in population growth, AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of Orange County communities by strengthening its presence and expanding access to whole-person care through these strategic leadership appointments.
Aimee Keller-Pickford named AdventHealth Winter Garden CEO
In her new role, Keller-Pickford will oversee the operations of AdventHealth Winter Garden, leading the development and execution of strategies that support the total network of care in the community of west Orange County.
“Aimee is a dynamic and mission-driven leader who brings the right blend of operational expertise and relational leadership to this next chapter at AdventHealth Winter Garden,” said Kari Vargas, CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division – North Market. “Her deep commitment to our mission and her ability to cultivate strong relationships—both within our facility and across the broader community—uniquely position her to lead the team forward as we continue delivering on our promise of wholeness and advancing our vision in west Orange County.”
Keller-Pickford brings more than 30 years of experience at AdventHealth, with a career marked by progressive leadership across acute care, outpatient services and market operations. She currently serves as vice president and chief operating officer at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, where she played an instrumental role in expanding the facility’s “Baby Place” and cancer services. She has also served as COO in AdventHealth’s Polk County Market, where she oversaw Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center and supported its integration into the system. Earlier roles include assistant vice president of ancillary services at AdventHealth Tampa, where she advanced service line growth and improved patient experience, and a key leadership position at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, where she helped lead the hospital’s construction, opening and community engagement.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead AdventHealth Winter Garden,” Keller-Pickford said. “It’s an honor to step into this role and join a team that is deeply committed to our mission. I look forward to connecting with team members, providers and community partners as we continue to grow and deliver exceptional whole-person care.”
Keller-Pickford holds a master’s in health care administration and leadership development from Capella University and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of St. Francis. Her community involvement spans several organizations, including the American Heart Association, where she served as AdventHealth Central Florida Division’s heart walk chairperson in 2025. Keller-Pickford also volunteers her time on several boards and committees, including the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce, the Seminole County Economic Development Committee, Rescue Outreach Mission and the American Muslim Community Center.
Keller-Pickford and her husband have four adult children, three grandchildren and a golden retriever. In her free time, they enjoy cycling, visiting national parks and volunteering in their community.
Sheila Rankin named CEO of AdventHealth Winter Park
Sheila Rankin will join AdventHealth Winter Park as CEO and will oversee capital investments, service line expansion and quality of care, while continuing to grow AdventHealth’s footprint in Orange County.
“With her deep experience in strategic and operational leadership, commitment to whole-person care and passion for serving the community, Sheila is uniquely equipped to lead AdventHealth Winter Park, which recently celebrated 70 years of care in the Orange County community,” Vargas said.
Rankin has served as the CEO of AdventHealth Kissimmee since December 2017. In this role, she oversaw the groundbreaking of an upcoming freestanding ER in Poinciana, the opening of AdventHealth Partin Settlement ER and Health Park, the addition of four new floors in AdventHealth Kissimmee’s patient tower, and the introduction of a state-of-the-art surgical suite featuring five new operating rooms at AdventHealth Kissimmee. She previously served in multiple finance leadership roles and as vice president of operations/chief operating officer. She began her service with the organization as a financial analyst in 2006.
“It has been a true privilege to serve at AdventHealth Kissimmee and our Osceola County locations. I will always carry with me the memories, relationships and mission-driven spirit of the incredible team there,” she said. “As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place at AdventHealth Winter Park, and remain committed to providing faith-based, whole-person care that strengthens our community, carries forward our healing mission and supports every person on their journey to wholeness.”
Rankin earned a master’s degree in business administration from Andrews University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphases in management and information systems from Siena Heights University. She serves on the board of the Education Foundation Osceola County and is a trustee of the Osceola County Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of work, she loves to travel the world with her husband and together have visited over 60 countries.
