Residents of Northwest Georgia deserve the safest care possible. AdventHealth Redmond is honored to have received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a leading independent nonprofit watchdog dedicated to improving health care safety. This national recognition reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to protecting patients from harm and delivering high-quality, whole-person care.

Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.  Grades are updated twice a year and are available to the public.

“Safety is the promise we make and keep,” said Isaac Sendros, president and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “This Leapfrog ‘A’ affirms our team’s daily commitment to whole‑person care — keeping patients safe, loving each person like family, making care easier to navigate and owning every outcome — so our neighbors can trust us with what matters most.”

“Earning an ‘A’ Grade means AdventHealth Redmond made a true commitment to put patient safety first,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the leadership, Board, clinicians, staff and volunteers that all had a role to play in this achievement.”

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only national rating system focused exclusively on hospital safety — including preventable medical errors, infections, and injuries that claim the lives of more than 500 patients each day in the U.S. The program is peer-reviewed, transparent, and free for consumers to access.
