In observance of National Prostate Awareness Month, AdventHealth Murray will offer free prostate cancer screenings on Tuesday, Sep. 24 from 4 to 5:30 pm at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Chatsworth, located at 106 Hospital Drive.
Men don’t often pay enough attention to their health, and one in nine men will get prostate cancer. It is a very real threat, but it’s important to know that if caught early, it can be cured. Doctors recommend that men between the ages 55 - 75 should be screened annually. African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer should begin their annual screenings at age 40. The screening will consist of a free PSA lab draw and a digital rectal exam.
Limited space is available, and registration is required. To register for this free screening, please call Call706-879-5850.
