AdventHealth Manchester recently hosted a two-day Walk-In Screening Mammogram Event in partnership with Mammo Results, offering quick and convenient breast cancer screenings for the community. The event took place on Friday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, October 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 210 Marie Langdon Drive, Manchester, KY.
Over the course of the event, 29 individuals participated in screenings—20 on Friday and 9 on Saturday—underscoring the community’s commitment to proactive health and early detection. Each screening was completed in approximately 30 minutes, reinforcing the message that “30 minutes could save your life.”
The event was open to individuals age 40 and older, with eligibility requiring no symptoms and a valid ID. By removing barriers to access and offering walk-in appointments, AdventHealth Manchester aimed to make preventive care more accessible and convenient.
“Early detection saves lives, and we are proud to provide these essential services to our community,” said an AdventHealth representative. “The strong turnout demonstrates the importance of regular screenings and the community’s dedication to wellness.”
Special thanks to the Dietary Team for providing delicious cookies and refreshing lemonade, which added a warm and welcoming touch to the event.
