As summer winds down, the Manchester community came together to celebrate the success of this year’s Summer Fitness Program—an inspiring journey in health and wellness that concluded with outstanding results. Participants achieved a collective weight loss of 23.2 pounds and a 12.3% total body fat reduction.
To mark the end of the program, participants gathered for a healthy celebration, enjoying fresh salad and pizza from Sauced—a well-earned treat in recognition of their hard work. Leading the way were Monica Smith and Stacey Collins, honored as the top adult achievers for their impressive progress.
The celebration also featured a special presentation by nutritionist, Kellie Gray, who shared valuable tips on maintaining healthy habits beyond the summer months. Her insights offered encouragement and practical advice for continuing a wellness journey year-round.
A heartfelt thank-you was extended to Payshence Henson, the dedicated trainer whose guidance and motivation played a key role in participants’ success. The program also expressed appreciation to the Clay County Family Resource and Youth Services Center, First National Bank of Manchester, and all other partners whose support made the program possible.
This summer’s program once again demonstrated the power of community, commitment, and healthy living. Organizers and participants alike are already looking forward to next summer, ready to continue inspiring positive change through health and fitness.
