Our operating rooms show multiple medical innovations at our Wesley Chapel hospital campus. Our OR suites were ergonomically designed to create a better flow and allow us to operate as efficiently as possible.
Our surgical lighting is brighter and puts off less heat; booms in the ceilings make it easy to move equipment to accommodate different types of surgery and can be controlled by the nurse at the nurse’s station.
The technology behind the scenes is just as important to the safety and quality outcomes for our patients. Our operating rooms utilize Tru-D SmartUVC disinfection system as a proactive measure to continue protecting patients. This device works by generating UV-light energy that modifies the DNA or RNA structure of an infectious cell, and it is the only portable UV disinfection system.We also have an advanced storage and retrieval system for sterile surgical instruments. Instruments are grouped together based on the specific surgeries, and the retrieval takes place at optimum ergonomic height.

The Health and Wellness Center at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, formerly Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, offers 50,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, all of it designed to support an integrated, whole-person approach to physical wellness. The center’s many high-tech amenities include Technogym strength and cardio equipment, SmartKey personal-fitness tracking, and a warm-water therapy pool.
Of course, while we believe exercise is a critical component of overall health and wellness, we also recognize that true fitness extends well beyond a workout routine. That’s why our Health and Wellness Center offers educational programs and seminars on topics such as healthy eating, stress management, and weight management to support a healthy lifestyle. The center’s experienced staff includes personal trainers, exercise physiologists, nutritionists, and more to meet your needs.
- Robot-Assisted Surgery

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel has offered robot-assisted surgery to support a wide spectrum of minimally invasive procedures since 2013. This breakthrough, high-tech medical treatment technology allows a surgeon’s hand to make extremely precise movements and can be used for a variety of surgeries, making the procedures virtually scarless and significantly decreasing blood loss, pain, risk of infection, length of hospital stays, and overall recovery time. We have three da Vinci® Xi™ Systems, four-armed robots that offer greater range of motion and reach.
In addition to its applications for surgical procedures, the Xi™ is compatible with the Intuitive Firefly Fluorescence Imaging Vision System, which enables our surgeons to view anatomy and blood flow, identify tumors, and improve outcomes for our patients.
