NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., April 29, 2019 – On April 23, The Edgewater Aerie #4242 Fraternal Order of Eagles donated $5,000 to the AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Foundation. The donation will support diabetes and cardiac care at the 112-bed New Smyrna Beach hospital.
This is the fourth year the local Eagles organization has donated to AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, bringing their total donations to the hospital at more than $23,000.
“We are so thankful for the generosity and on-going support from our local Eagles,” said Marlene Thomas, AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach Foundation Director. “Both departments, diabetes and cardiac, will benefit greatly from this donation, which in turn will greatly benefit the local patients we serve.”
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization with a motto of “people helping people.” It is dedicated to raising funds and supporting local organizations.
