You’re Here to Care

We’re Here to Serve

Your visits make such a difference to our patients. On behalf of everyone at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, formerly Florida Hospital New Smyrna, in Florida, we want to thank you for being there for your loved ones. We hope you’ll feel our spirit of care as soon as you walk through our hospital doors. To make your visit easier, we've gathered helpful hospital information and visitor resources.

If you have any questions while you’re here, ask one of our nurses or staff. Want a gift for your loved one? Stop by our hospital gift shop. Need a quiet place to regenerate? Come visit our meditation room on the first floor. Whatever it is, we’re glad to help — because we’re glad you’re here.

Guest Services

Pastoral Care

As a faith-based organization, we realize that in times of difficulty, a little spiritual guidance can go a long way. Our staff chaplain is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and volunteer clergy of various faiths are also on call to talk with you or your family members. They’re happy to provide emotional or spiritual resources, intervene in a crisis, advocate for your needs, or visit with you after regular business hours. To speak to a staff or volunteer clergy, simply ask a nurse.

To make sure your spiritual and emotional needs are met, we also provide spiritual-care volunteers. Empathetic and supportive, these volunteers are ready to help you find needed information, contact a leader from your own faith community, and visit whenever you need someone to lean on.

Pastoral Care

A hospital stay can be an unexpected, anxious and lonely time, not only for loved ones, but family and friends as well. AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach knows that your spiritual care is also an important part of the healing process. That’s why members of the Department of Pastoral Care are available to you and your loved ones during your time in the hospital, providing you with spiritual care and support.

Contact a Chaplain

Patients, their family members or friends can request a visit from a chaplain, and we are also available to assist clergy or other pastors coming to visit their congregants.

The Spiritual Care Department can be reached at Call 386-424-3840 , or you can ask one of the medical staff to contact the Chaplain on duty.
