U.S. News & World Report again names AdventHealth Daytona Beach as the top hospital in Deltona-Daytona Beach

AdventHealth Daytona Beach has been named by U.S. News & World Report to its 2023-2024 Best Hospitals.

This year, AdventHealth Daytona Beach ranks No. 1 in the Deltona-Daytona Beach metro area for the third consecutive year, and #17 in the state of Florida.

The hospital was rated “high performing” in eight specialties:

  • Colon cancer surgery
  • Diabetes
  • Heart attack
  • Heart bypass surgery
  • Heart failure
  • Kidney failure
  • Pneumonia
  • Stroke

“This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the medical expertise, excellent outcomes and exceptional patient experience our clinical teams consistently deliver,” said David Weis, AdventHealth Daytona Beach CEO. “Out of the thousands of hospitals evaluated nationwide, so few facilities earn this prestigious recognition. U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions; only 12% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.

Additionally, AdventHealth Orlando was ranked No. 1 in Metro Orlando for the 13th consecutive year and AdventHealth for Children was ranked best in Florida and No. 32 nationally for neonatology.

“For 34 years, U.S. News has provided data-informed rankings to help patients and their doctors find the best hospital to treat their illness or condition,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News.
