Gastroenterologist Joins Hospital

PALM COAST, Fla., November 4, 2016 Board certified gastroenterologist Dr. Issam Nasr has joined the Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners medical staff at Florida Hospital Flagler.

Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners is the employed group of physicians for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which encompasses the six Florida Hospitals within Volusia and Flagler counties. Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners consists of more than 160 physicians, including both primary care physicians and specialists, and enjoys a mutual partnership with Florida Hospital based upon the close alignment of the hospitals mission and values.

With 10 years of experience, Nasr has extensive training and experience in a wide range of complex digestive diseases.

As a gastroenterologist, Nasr specializes in diseases of the digestive system and is one of the few gastroenterologists in the area who is also fellowship trained in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), a minimally invasive procedure to assess gastrointestinal disease.

Nasr attended and graduated with honors from medical school from American University of Beirut. He completed an internal medicine residency, as well as a gastroenterology fellowship and an endoscopy fellowship at University of Iowa.

In his new practice at Florida Hospital Flagler, Nasr will focus on diagnosing and treating acid reflux disease (also known as GERD), liver disease, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gluten allergies, and more.
