ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Colorectal surgeon Dr. Ross Hempel has joined AdventHealth and is now caring for patients in Ormond Beach.
As a new member of AdventHealth Medical Group, Hempel is now part of a team of over 400 health care providers, including 250 primary care physicians and specialists in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
Hempel joined the practice of colorectal surgeons Dr. Timothy Tolland and Dr. Andrew Ritter, who have cared for Volusia County residents for more than 35 years. Their practice recently became part of AdventHealth’s nationally recognized colorectal surgical care team, which added two Volusia County clinics to the network. To further support growth in the region, Dr. Matthew Wilson also joined the practice recently.
Hempel earned his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. He completed his surgical internship and residency, as well as a colon and rectal surgery fellowship, at The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida.
