About Our Program

Welcome to AdventHealth for Children’s Pharmacy Residency Program page! We are excited you are interested in our residency program. Our PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency program was started in 2011, and we recently added a PGY1 pharmacy residency program that will welcome its first resident in 2026!

Our PGY1 pharmacy residency program (ASHP pre-candidate status) offers one full-time, 52-week position.

PGY1 residency programs build upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives. Residents who successfully complete PGY1 residency programs will be skilled in diverse patient care, practice management, leadership, and education, and be prepared to provide patient care, seek board certification in pharmacotherapy (i.e., BCPS), and pursue advanced education and training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies.

Please see additional information about our PGY-1 Program below. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have.

Sincerely,
