The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) at AdventHealth for Children is designed to meet the unique requirements for management of children with a variety of complex heart conditions. Our highly trained PCICU physicians, including pediatric cardiac intensivists, are board-certified in pediatric critical care medicine and have additional training in pediatric cardiac critical care. This means that your child will receive the most advanced and expert care available.
Having a dedicated 15-bed unit allows us to provide top-notch pediatric cardiac care for our patients in a nurturing family-centered environment. We believe that caring for the whole family is an important aspect of caring for that child. The multidisciplinary PCICU team works closely in collaboration with AdventHealth for Children's highly specialized pediatric heart care experts, including pediatric cardiac surgeons, pediatric cardiologists, and pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. Our ultimate goal is to provide compassionate and personalized care that addresses the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child.
