Samuel Bae, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon. After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Bae received his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed a general surgery internship at Allegheny General Hospital. He went on to finish a general surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Bae is fluent in English, Korean and medical Spanish.

Viviana Casas-Puig, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN who specializes in Urogynecology. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Casas-Puig received her medical degree from the Ponce Health Sciences University. She went on to complete an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a Research Fellowship at the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a 3-year Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She received extensive training in minimally invasive surgery and performs vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted procedures. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Casas-Puig is passionate about improving the quality of life of her patients, as well as providing compassionate and individualized high-quality evidence-based medical and surgical care.

Nathan DeAngelis, DO, is a fellowship-trained surgeon with advanced skills in minimally invasive techniques and substantial experience in robotic-assisted surgical procedures. His small-town upbringing in western Pennsylvania instilled in him a strong understanding of the importance of family and community, and is a central tenet of his philosophy of patient care. An honors graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, he earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his residency training at Midwestern University/Chicago College of Medicine, he elected to pursue advanced fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Johns Hopkins-affiliated hospitals in Baltimore. Dr. DeAngelis’s specialties include anti-reflux surgery, breast biopsies and surgical treatments, cholecystectomy, gastric surgery, laparoscopic hernia repair, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, skin cancer surgery and placement of feeding tubes and venous access ports.

William L. Huether III, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with special interests in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries including laparoscopic anti-reflux, hernia repair and gallbladder surgery. A proud graduate of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, he received his surgical residency training at the University of Florida's Shands Hospital. Justin Kelly, MD, FRCS, is a fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon with AdventHealth Medical Group's elite colorectal surgery team in Central Florida. His areas of expertise include the use of minimally invasive technologies in colon and rectal cancer treatment, including TAMIS and laparoscopic surgery. He specializes in the surgical treatment of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and is proficient in treating all common anorectal diseases including hemorrhoids, fistulas and rectal bleeding. After completing his medical degree with honors and receiving university national medals in surgery from the College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, he became the first International Fellow in colon and rectal surgery at AdventHealth Medical Group, allowing him to be comprehensively trained on the groundbreaking surgical techniques pioneered by our esteemed specialists.

Dr. Kelly has a long history of outstanding achievement. He earned a full academic scholarship to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating with honors, and received the Sir William Osler Medal for Clinical Excellence from the RCSI James Connolly Memorial Hospital in 2004. Whilst a surgical Fellow in Ireland in 2013, his project was awarded a National Medal for Best Clinical Doctor by the Irish Times.

Dr. Vivek Nagar is an interventional pain management physician. After graduating from the University of Miami, Dr. Nagar received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine &Rehabilitation and fellowship in Pain Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in New York. While in training, he was selected by his peers and faculty for the prestigious position of Chief Resident. He then went on to serve as Chief Fellow during his time in fellowship. He has authored textbook chapters in the field of pain medicine and physiatry, and has published peer-reviewed research on interventional pain management

Dr. Nagar’s goal is to create personalized treatment plans for his patients, with an emphasis on improving functional outcomes and quality of life.

Dr. Nagar provides comprehensive care for a wide variety of painful conditions of the spine, nerves, joints and muscles by integrating non-surgical and non-opioid pain-relieving treatments. Dr. Nagar uses precise image guidance to perform various minimally invasive treatments including spine injections and procedures, peripheral nerve blocks, and joint injections. He specializes in neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion stimulation.

Chetan Patel, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and spine specialist who is the Medical Director of AdventHealth Medical Group’s spine health practice in Altamonte Springs. A former Chief of Staff for AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, Dr. Patel is a nationally recognized authority on minimally invasive surgical techniques for stabilizing the spine and resolving neck and back pain. He directs a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in pain management, physical therapy and nutrition, with an emphasis on the most conservative treatment options that can bring lasting relief to his patients. Dr. Patel’s surgical specialties include minimally invasive fusion; microdiscectomy; laminectomy; spinal stabilization; kyphoplasty; minimally invasive TLIF, XLIF and DLIF surgeries; vertebroplasty; scoliosis correction; corpectomy fusion and more. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree and completed his residency training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and undertook his advanced fellowship training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

Dr. Rideman is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group’s elite surgery team in Lake Mary from Lifebridge Health Systems Northwest and Sinai Hospitals, where he served as an on-staff general surgeon. Prior to that, he completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. Dr. Rideman earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which he completed his general surgery residency at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he was named Chief Resident.

Christy Walls, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse. After graduating from Southwestern Illinois College, Christy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Christy is a highly experienced clinician committed to whole-person care of the body, mind, and spirit of every patient.

Steven Williams, MD, is a board-certified urologist with fellowship training in minimally invasive robotic urologic procedures and endourology. He specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with kidney stones, urologic cancers, bladder disorders, benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostate cancer. His clinical excellence and research acumen, particularly in the field of urologic oncology, establishes him as a leading provider of urologic care in Central Florida. As part of the highly credentialed urology team at AdventHealth Medical Group, he sees patients in his offices in Altamonte Springs, Apopka and Lake Mary.
